Hello friends! I am back today to share another quilt I made using my newest Robert Kaufman Bundle - the TCJ Revive Bundle! So far I have shared the following blogposts about the Revive project:
So let's get to it! The quilt on display today is Bright Side!
The Bright Side Quilt Pattern is the perfect beginner quilt pattern - which also makes it the perfect fast make! The Bright Side finishes at a 60.5" x 72.5" throw which is my favorite size quilt. The pattern requires 18 FQs and a little yardage for the horizontal striped blocks. But, I went ahead and used 3 more FQs to get the color parts of the horizontal (not the small white strips) blocks instead of the yardage.
The pattern is fun because it is set up like a "paint by numbers". Each FQ gets a letter in the alphabet and one size cut and then you lay out the quilt according to the diagram. You essentially "plug in" your cut pieces like puzzle pieces and sew together your rows and poof, you're done!
This quilt was made during the chaotic moving homes season in early 2021 so Alysson sewed it up for me. We took one photo of the process. ha!
Once I had the quilt in my hands, I snapped a few photos of the top finished. Our new furry family member wanted in on the action.
I really love the variety in this quilt top.
Kaitlyn again worked her magic on this Revive Bright Side. We chose the Retro Tile 2 pantograph by Karlee Porter. I love how the soft curves contrast the straight lines of the quilt.
I bound the quilt in Kona Sheen - Gleam On, it is a bright happy lime green/yellow color. I love how it frames the quilt so well.
