The TCJ Spring 2021 SAL starts next month and we will be making the Campfire Glow quilt! I am so excited to sew along with you! This blogpost has a bunch of information about the SAL!
The Campfire Glow Quilt was my latest quilt pattern release, in December 2020. I designed this pattern a couple years ago but never shared publicly until last fall. This pattern has a special place in my heart because it has become my "therapy" pattern. Anytime I've needed to sew for fun, to deal with my anxieties, my emotions, I would turn to this quilt. And now, I get to sew it all up with you guys! The pattern includes an option to use yardage (like my cover quilt and my baby quilt) and it includes an option to use your scraps! I will be promoting the throw size quilt which finishes at 54" x 66" - but sew whatever size you'd like. I plan on diving into my stash for this quilt but I haven't picked my fabrics yet.
THE DATES: Monday February 15th, 2021 - Sunday March 28th, 2021
DURATION: 6 weeks long
QUILT SIZE: Throw Size, finishes at 54" x 66"
SCHEDULE: The Campfire Glow Quilt is a pretty fun and easily assembled quilt top. We will be making it in 6 weeks with time dedicated to talking about color palettes and fabric choices, cutting and then in weeks 3-6 we will be sewing. I believe the most you will be sewing each week is a few hours.
Week 1: I will be providing a bunch of ideas and suggestions on fabric choices for Campfire Glow. I will be doing an Instagram LIVE which will be saved and uploaded to YouTube for future reference. The time will be announced as we get closer.
Week 2: We will be cutting all of our fabric and getting organized.
Week 3: We will be making all of our A blocks - chain piecing will be our best friend.
Week 4: We will be making all of our B blocks.
Week 5: It is time to make our stars!
Week 6: We will sew the quilt top all together!
