My Newest Robert Kaufman FQ Bundle - Revive

My Newest Robert Kaufman FQ Bundle - Revive

The Revive Bundle is now available in my shop!
If you are a quilt shop you can purchase this bundle now through Robert Kaufman or through Checker Distributors!
I am excited to share my latest FQ Bundle for Robert Kaufman - Revive! The Revive bundle includes 24 fat quarters in a range of neutrals, blues, green, yellows. I love the mixture of solids, shimmer fabrics, metallic pops, and classic prints.
How gorgeous is that palette?! I curated this palette in the depths of winter and really wanted to create a palette that was lively, bright and had a lot of depth in its color way.
Personally, my life felt pretty out of control during the time I made this bundle. I was in a really bad place mentally, our family life was incredibly difficult and the overwhelm was constant. This project really helped me focus on what goodness can come from dark times. It is all based on revival, rebirth, joys after sorrows and new life blooming after winter.
The bundle includes 24 fat quarters - my favorite precut. When I was playing around with bundle ideas, my focus for this bundle was a little different than my past two Robert Kaufman bundles - Kona and TCJ Basics.
This round I wanted to achieve the following:
  • a palette without reds, pinks and purples
  • a palette focused more on using greens/teals/blues
  • a palette that includes warmer neutrals - creams, taupes, tans
  • still look like me but be different than my typical palette
  • continue to mix textures like previous bundle
  • create a bundle that can easily be separated into sub color ways
Here are a few photos of me playing around with my Kona Cards, swatches and my gradient as I worked through the idea.
After I decided on the palette and sent it off for approval, I heard back that one or two of the swatches I had chosen weren't available anymore. It was easy enough to update a couple swatches and I asked for 1-3 extra samples to be sent to make sure I really liked how it flowed in person. When the fabric showed up, I was so excited!
One of the fun parts of this process is I also get final say on the way the bundle itself looks. I choose the way the fabrics are stacked and presented. I played with different options but we landed on starting with the whites on top and then finish with the small pop of peach on the bottom. I love how it flows.
Those stacks above are all 2 yard cuts so I cut it down into the FQ bundles to make my samples. I made four samples for this bundle and hired out the sewing of 3 of them. The sewing of these samples all happened during the time of our moving and selling our house. There is no way I could commit to more than sewing up one sample. Here are the FQ bundles stacked on top of each other.
Look at that yummy texture!!
Now let's take a look at several different ways you could use this bundle - you don't have to use all 24 at the same time. There are tons of options to make some smaller color ways!
I will be back to share more individually about each quilt made using this bundle. But for now, here are a few sneak peeks Robert Kaufman took of the quilts.
Also, we did a photoshoot in our new house before I shipped these off to Robert Kaufman.
I broke my toe 2 days before Amy was scheduled to come shoot. I was limping or hobbling or in my boot sweating the whole time. It was a wild time here! Here I am exhausted from carrying these quilts up the stairs - the stairs I had just fallen down days before when I broke my toe.
The Revive Bundle is now available in my shop!
And be sure to take a look at my other two Robert Kaufman Bundles - the Kona Solids bundle and the TCJ Basics bundle.
