Welcome to our second TCJ Color Play Guidebook! With each new bundle we will explore and share behind the scenes content of how I curate them. You can expect a project timeline, bundle photos, palette board, fabric information, a mood board, a letter from me and a few in depth shares behind my bundle inspiration. Let's get to it!
Meet the TCJ Color Play Bundle No. 2! She is moody, dusty, and rich in tones that were inspired by my love of fall. Keep scrolling for more fabric photos!
Here is our Bundle No. 2 Launch Timeline. We started teasing this bundle with a mini mood board share a couple of weeks ago, then shared the palette tease last week and now it's time for full launch! The TCJ Color Play Bundle No. 2 is available in the shop as of today, October 24th, 2026 and you are currently reading our guidebook! The bundle should ship next week and depending on where you live, arrive by early November!
Hi there! In case you missed our first launch back in May 2026,
head here to read the first guidebook. In the first guidebook, I include more information about why I decided to create this new project.
And there is a good chance you may have missed the first launch because right before TCJ Color Play went live for the first time, I made a mistake. I wanted to clean up my newsletter subscriber list because I pay for every single email on it regardless of purchase history, email open history, unsubscribes, non subscribers and more. And I hadn't cleaned my list in over seven years. It was time. Welp, I somehow I accidentally deleted THOUSANDS of emails that I had NO intention of removing. It took a couple months to figure out what happened but since then we have restored every email and have been slowly and cautiously cleaning the list. BUT all of this happened the week before I launched TCJ Color Play. So if you missed it, I am sorry. But I am happy to have you back now for the launch of TCJ Color Play Bundle No. 2!
As a refresher, TCJ Color Play is my way of bringing you a one-time, limited edition, curated Fat Quarter Bundle based on what is inspiring me right now to help you build your stash! When I shop for fabric, I am very instinct driven and it’s usually NOT with a specific project in mind, but rather with my stash in mind. So that is what I hope to help you build: a beautifully curated FQ stash that helps inspire your next make. These bundles will be based on my aesthetic, so if you trust that, you can trust these.
TCJ Color Play is NOT about turning a single bundle into a project, although you absolutely can. I will not be providing mock ups because my goal isn’t to provide you a prepackaged idea with the end product obvious. I want to provide you the supplies and help you find inspiration while you build a stash that is easy to dive into and find gorgeous fabrics for any and all of your future sewing needs.
Now let's dig into Bundle No. 2!
Each TCJ Color Play bundle starts with inspiration. For this bundle, I knew immediately I wanted the bundle to be an ode to fall. I gravitated towards rich tones, moody florals, cozy texture and dusty colors. I love to use Pinterest for this part of the process. Anything that jumps out to me, I pin to a secret board for future reference. As you can see, I pin floral art, interiors, graphic text art, landscape art and more. Here is the mood board for TCJ Color Play Bundle No 2.

This mood board just makes me happy. It makes me want to be in the mountains with a book and a quilt with the windows open feeling the autumn breeze. All the images evoke some form of love, comfort, joy, interest and beauty in me. I am inspired by the softness of fall and how colors can interact, even when there is contrast. Rarely is a color "shouting" to be seen in these images. The colors all act like a community and support each other. One color fades into another and holds up another or allows another room to move forward. It's like a dance. This board became my guidepost when searching out fabrics for TCJ Color Play Bundle No. 2.
And now let's take a closer look at TCJ Color Play Bundle No. 2!
We have texture texture texture here! And a mix of florals, some plaids and grids, stripes and geometric repeats. She is so stunning and I am keeping a bundle for myself!
Again, the idea for TCJ Color Play is to provide you with a curated bundle that you can use to build your stash. This one can easily be split into so many different color families or kept all together for when you need a fall palette!
Each bundle release will be limited edition and will NEVER restock. Once these bundles are sold out, that is it until our next bundle. The fabric names are provided above so if it sells out fast, you can source your own fabrics to match a bundle.
This kitchen scene is one of the first images I pinned when I was working on my next palette curation. The thing that I gravitated towards most in this photo is that the larger square tiles are not the same exact color but a variation of neutrals. I love that although they read "neutral" they don't read boring or clean. They add impact and a strong base to then play off the dusty grey lavender tiles with the pop of burnt red. I love that neutrals can add a lot of depth to a palette without needing to shout for attention.
How could I not pin this gorgeous artwork by Alex Mason? It is warm, it is vibrant, it has texture, it has so much visual interest that my eyes are dancing when looking at this painting. I love the pops of brighter pink paired with the clay colored background color and orange and yellow flowers. And the small supporting green color makes me happy. This is a piece where I believe the color story is simple yet developed - pinks that swing to either side of red and orange.

I cannot find the source for this bedroom scene but man it makes me want to crawl into this screen and get in. Do you see the baby in the sheets? The thing that drove me most to this image is the interplay between the dusty peach wall and the rich red window and ceiling. My inspiration isn't always super direct but it's about the correlation of color. These two colors support each other without competing and they allow for a couple other colors to have a moment to shine - the gold accent colors in the frame and lamp - as well as the neutrals of the bedding and nightstand marble top. Yummmmm.
This floral image is maybe the most direct inspiration I had for this bundle. The dusty neutrals, peaches, lavenders, golds with a bit of vibrancy and then the touch of green in the stems and the centers of some of the flowers. When I look at these florals, I see life. I see depth. I see joy. I see strength and I see grace. No two flowers are fighting for the spotlight, they just are.
