Rosecity Quilt - the Kona Baby One

Rosecity Quilt - the Kona Baby One

The Rosecity Quilt Pattern is available now!
The second baby quilt I decided to make to show color variety is a happy Kona Cotton one. I really love the bright oranges and yellows with a pop of blue and neutrals.
The colors I used are all Kona Cotton: White, Cantaloupe, Breeze, Dove, Mango, Waterfall, Citrus, Grellow. The baby size finishes at 37 1/2" x 50" and requires (8) 1/2 yard fabric cuts.
It is such a bright happy palette. I had one of my friends and fellow sewists make this sample for me. One thing I have learned over the last year is to ask for help when I need it. And it just is the best that I have so many supportive people in my life. And don't get me wrong, if it is work, I pay you!
Oh and one big benefit of having my friend sew the sample for me is she also is my technical editor! So it is a win win.
We drove around Portland one afternoon to find fun walls to photograph some finished quilt tops against. This little guy made it to a few walls!
Okay, so what is your favorite? Leaves, rabbit or dog mural?!
This quilt is so fun and bright that I wanted a fun quilting design that pops. I have found an awesome quick turn around quilter here locally in Portland that does computerized longarm quilting. Karlee of SewInspired2Day is always so willing and eager to quilt! I drop off my quilters to her and usually within a day or two I have them back! So crazy!
We decided to go with the a panto called Spinner in a decently dense setting. I love the way it turned out! And I bound the quilt in Citrus.

Everything about this quilt is happy and joyful. I love how it turned out and the quilting gives just enough texture.
The Rosecity Quilt is out now and please remember to tag me in your makes with #rosecityquilt and #thencamejunepatterns.
