MEADOWLAND QAL PRIZES

I have decided to do prizes a bit differently this round and I am so excited for it. There will be NO weekly prizes/giveaways this round. Instead, we will be doing a "Best of" Awards at the end of the whole QAL plus there will still be a Grand Prize winner!

The Grand Prize Winner will win FREE long arm quilting from Threaded Quilting Studio AND a massive bundle of goodies from Ruby Star Society.

The Best of Awards will be held and announced on Monday March 16th! And each winner will win a $50 gift card to one of my favorite shops (7 different shops will be chosen and gift cards provided by me). Here are the following categories for the Best of Awards:

  • Best Scrappy Quilt

  • Best Colorful Quilt

  • Best Neutral Quilt

  • Best Quilt in the Wild Photo

  • Best Pet on a Quilt

  • Best Child on a Quilt

  • Best Quilt Photo Fail (we all have these)

**To be considered for all the prizes, you must be actively participating in the QAL and making a NEW Meadowland quilt.**

TCJ + Longarm League

I am partnering with the Longarm League for the Meadowland QAL to provide an amazing resource for all quilters needing longarm services on your completed Meadowland tops. The Longarm League is a community of longarm quilters who learn with and support each other as they build their businesses. Select members of the group will be offering 20% off edge-to-edge quilting services for Meadowland QAL participants in the US and Canada! Meadowland quilt tops must be received by July 31, 2020, to be eligible for the discount.

If you see this graphic posted on Instagram, you will know this longarm quilter is participating in the discount. But also, below is a list of every single person offering their services at 20% off. IT IS HUGE. What a massive generous pool of fellow crafters!

WHAT I WILL BE MAKING

I worked with Fabric Bubb to make a bright fresh spring bundle of mostly basics from Ruby Star Society plus some of their floral prints. It is 20 FQs and I can't wait to mix and match it. Fabric Bubb has also listed this bundle for sale - just choose your background fabric too (I will be using Kona White) and you've got yourself all the fabric you need!

Fabric Bubb also has a ton of beautiful bundles - even other Meadowland ones to choose from. You can't go wrong!

All the other Meadowlands I have made.... yes, I have made TEN before this one. It is a bit insane. Here we go!

My first Meadowland ever may be one of my favorites. It is scrappy and happy and what made me decide to turn this design into a pattern! I will be making a new scrappy version for the QAL.

My second Meadowland and my pattern cover! This one is made out of 1/2 yards in Kona Cotton Solids.

My third Meadowland I used 1/2 yards and made the Smaller Throw 64" x 64".

Up next! My fourth Meadowland. I used a 20 FQ Bundle and even brought this one to NYC for a photoshoot this past summer. Also, I sold this one in November and it was bittersweet to say goodbye.

My fifth Meadowland is the first I made to keep for myself! I made this one with my husband in mind and went for a neutral color scheme. It gets used every day on our couch.

The sixth Meadowland I made as a collaboration with Erin Dollar of Cotton + Flax to use her new line Balboa.

My seventh Meadowland was made for Andover Fabrics Booth at Fall Quilt Market. I used Alison Glass's new Observatory line.

My 8th Meadowland I made for myself! I wanted a fun non classic Christmas quilt that would fit my bed. I made this quilt during a girls weekend in AZ!

My 9th Meadowland was made with my Kona Cotton Designer Palette bundle and it so fun and bright!

The 10th Meadowland I made was for the last QAL this spring. It was scrappy and fun with neutrals to teal/green/blues.

OKAY! Woo!

The Meadowland I make for this QAL will be number ELEVEN! I can't believe it.

Don't forget to sign up for the weekly newsletters and grab a pattern!

SEE YOU SOON!
