I am excited to be hosting the first sew-along for our Modern Holiday Quilt Collection patterns! Each of our holiday patterns are block based, beginner friendly and rather fast finishes. Our quilt alongs will be casual and at a quicker pace that normal. It will be a fun way to get excited and prepare a quilt to use for each celebrated holiday!
The Starry Skies Quilt Pattern is a playful take on a twinkling night sky. The quilt ends up being a generous throw size at 68" x 70". It's the perfect size for a summer picnic quilt, right?
The Sew-Along will be casual and four weeks long. It will be hosted on Instagram using the #starryskiessewalong and #modernholidayquilts hashtags, and you'll receive weekly newsletters sharing what is in store for that week. Be sure to post your weekly photos of your progress using the above hashtags and you'll be put into the prize pool to win free long-arm quilting on your completed top by Kaitlyn of Knot & Thread.

I will be using a combination of solids, gingham and some prints possibly. My fabric arrives today! I can't wait to share once I have figured it out.
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE:
WEEK 1: Choose Fabric, Cut Fabric & Make 4 Star Blocks
WEEK 2: Make 6 Star Blocks
WEEK 3: Make 6 Star Blocks
WEEK 4: Make all Diamond Blocks and sew top together!
